Does the problem still occur? If not, start adding items back to msconfig one or two at a time, rebooting after each change, until the problem reappears and you'll have identified the offending process. Open msconfig and on the General tab choose "selective startup" (uncheck all three items) and reboot. It's a lengthy process, but if the problem is some process loading with Windows this will help you identify it. That would lead me to guess (and at this point it's just a guess) that it is either malware or something loading with the system.ġ) Have you run full system scans with BOTH your anti virus app as well as MalwareBytes? If not, please do.Ģ) We can try a selective startup. If it doesn't happen in safe mode it probably isn't a hardware problem. Just wanted to see if it was bsods that were causing the restarts.
